I spent a week in Guatemala. Before I went, I picked this song out - it was too perfect not to use. I visited Guatemala City, Antigua, Panajachel, San Marcos, San Juan, and San Pedro. I also hiked Volcan Acatenango. It was an unforgettable experience, made better by the people I met along the way. I learned a good bit of Spanish, and was delighted by the food I ate.

"Boston Bruins Playoff Hype Video"
Short form video created for TikTok, Spring 2023
This took a few hours start to finish. I am a huge Boston sports fan in general, and wanted to do 'my part' in the event that somebody from the Bruins organization saw this. It was a fun project, and I'm really proud of it to this day.
I had picked out the music (Britten String Quartet in C) before editing it.
"LeBron James' Secret Plan"

This was, by far, the most challenging and most rewarding TDAY Sports video I edited.
The amount of clips I sourced for b-roll, the animating of each shot and object, the photoshopping of an NBA press release for dramatization, the sound effects, and the revisions took hours, all for just 95 seconds of storytelling.
In the end, the video amassed over 5 million views across TikTok and Instagram.
For TDAY videos, I was given a video and a voiceover. The rest was up to me, before approval from the content team.

"Tasty K Video Article"
Short-form video, Fall 2023.
Commissioned by The Daily Collegian (Penn State's student-run newspaper) editorial staff to promote Tasty K, a new korean fried chicken restaurant in downtown State College.
For this video, I was sent footage by the video team and instructed to edit it for social media.

I stopped posting after my ninth video due to burnout. I withdrew from the race, but didn't give up on my goal of running a half marathon. In May 2024, I ran my first ever half marathon at Boston's Run To Remember!
"Messenger"
No dialogue short for class, Spring 2022.
I took myself somewhat seriously for this project. The story was ambitious for no budget and a one-person camera crew (a tripod and my iPhone, with occasional help from my dad).
If it's unclear after watching, the story is as follows: a boy gets an anonymous letter from an unknown sender with instructions to return the letter at midnight. After looking around town for the sender, he gets to code breaking. He discovers that the letter is from Ursa Major, the Big Dipper (the first letter of each line spells URSA - I forget what indicates it was Major vs Minor). At midnight, he goes to a clearing and where he encounters some UFOs. The letter gets blown away into the night and the UFOs disappear. The boy, awestruck, looks up at the sky.
I haven't shot anything else I've written since, but I believe I have a much stronger skillset with the camera and with editing today.
